To schedule an appointment, please call (763) 520-2980. If you require urgent care during clinic hours, call immediately. We will assess your medical needs and offer advice accordingly.

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

After hours care

If you need to speak to a physician after clinic hours, please call (763) 520-2980. Our phones are answered at all times, and you will be referred to the on-call physician. In case of an emergency, call 911.

Insurance assistance

North Memorial Clinic accepts most major health care insurance plans, and we will file your insurance claims for you. Just bring your insurance card each time you visit. For more information, please call (763) 520-2980.

Our Providers

 

Mark Prebonich, MD

Mark Prebonich earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and served with distinction there as chief resident.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His emphasis is in providing comprehensive care to the adult patient. Dr. Prebonich is a certified clinical densitometrist with special interests in bone density and osteoporosis.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Prebonich's professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Minnesota Medical Association, the Hennepin County Medical Society and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
His interests include outdoor activities, Tae Kwon Do and motorcycles.
 

Michael Grouws, MD

Michael Grouws specializes in internal medicine. Dr. Grouws graduated from the University of Missouri Medical School, and completed both an internship and residency at the University of Iowa. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Grouws' professional affiliations include the American College of Physicians, the Minnesota Medical Association and the Hennepin Medical Society.
Member - Alpha Omega Alpha. Participating in triathalons and marathons has lead him to enjoy a focus on sports medicine.
 

Lex Nerenberg, MD

Lex Nerenberg specializes in internal medicine. Dr. Nerenberg graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed both an internship and residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Additionally, he served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Nerenberg is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional affiliations include the Minnesota Medical Association, the Hennepin County Medical Society and the American College of Physicians.He has been named a Top Doctor twice by MplsStPaul Magazine -- in 2003 and 2006.
 

Robert Lager, MD

Robert Lager specializes in internal medicine. Dr. Lager graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed both an internship and a residency at his alma mater. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and critical care medicine. Dr. Lager's professional affiliations include the Minnesota Medical Association, the Hennepin County Medical Society and the American College of Physicians.
 

Mark Zelent, DPM

As a doctor of podiatric medicine, Mark Zelent specializes in diseases and disorders of the foot and ankle, as well as treatment of the diabetic foot.
Originally from the Chicago area, he completed his undergraduate and doctorate degrees in Illinois. Dr. Zelent completed his internship at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Minneapolis and his residency in podiatry surgery at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids, where he was chief resident, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
He is an associate member of - The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, The American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.
Dr. Zelent has been an author of numerous publications and is currently a manuscript reviewer for both the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Zelent is married and enjoys cooking and home improvement projects.
He is available for referral appointments at several North Memorial Clinics, including St. Anthony and Plymouth.
