2008 Minnesota Public Safety Service Awards

History and Background
In 1984, North Memorial hosted the first Public Safety Service Awards Program. Today, this annual event continues to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves through acts of heroism and who might otherwise go unnoticed.

These individuals have made extraordinary contributions to public safety by demonstrating deep commitment to their profession or through courageous acts that are above and beyond the call of duty.
The selection committee reviews all applications and chooses several people to be recognized at an awards banquet in November.
How to Nominate a Candidate
Applications nominating an individual or group of individuals are accepted from anywhere in Minnesota for the year of September 15, 2007 through September 14, 2008 and must be postmarked by October 1, 2008 to be considered for this year's event.
To submit a candidate for consideration, simply complete the printable application, attach any applicable reports, newspaper articles, etc., and mail to:
