Approach To Care
Casie Iwata (she/her) is a clinical social worker who is committed to creating a space in which customers are fully seen and valued as holistic individuals with inherent strengths and abilities. She recognizes the impact of current life stress, past trauma, loss, and injustice on one’s well-being. Casie approaches each interaction with a broad view of health in mind; mind, body, spirit, relationships, and community. She deeply believes in each person’s right to healing and connection. Casie uses a relational approach, with compassion, humor, and humility, to co-create a meaningful experience with customers as they confront life’s challenges.
Casie specializes in trauma work, grief and loss, life transitions, refugee mental health, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. She uses mind-body approaches, specifically Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, as well as mindfulness and creative expression in her practice.

Casie has enjoyed living in several cities in the US over the years, with Minneapolis being the coldest by far, but it is growing on her. She enjoys baking, travel, watching sports, and reading. Casie believes in the value of sustainability in one’s work so her routine includes connecting regularly with loved ones, volunteering, exercise, and singing loudly in the car.
