Approach To Care
Dr. Rowan-Kelly views urgent care as the pinch hitters of primary care where same-day care is provided quickly and compassionately. In addition, he provides occupational medicine services, including commercial driving exams, pre-employment physicals and care for work related injuries.
Dr. Rowan-Kelly received his medical degree in Australia in 1976 where he practiced primary care. He has a wide ranging work experience from caring for addiction and substance abuse customers and teaching medical students and residents, to serving as the medical director of a large medical center and being a radio doctor, providing live, on-air advice and education.
Dr. Rowan-Kelly relocated to the U.S. and completed a three-year hospital residency in family medicine. He was the medical director of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in Newberg, OR and has provided chronic pain management as well as primary care in a variety of urgent care settings.
Dr. Rowan-Kelly is board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine; he is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Rowan-Kelly has worked in isolated rural settings as well as central city and suburban areas. Providing care to all walks of life, including fellow health care professionals, his experience spans state, county and private drug and alcohol treatment facilities.
In his spare time, Dr. Rowan-Kelly enjoys reading, computing, CME, movies and motor sports.
