A holistic approach to preparing for your hospital stay.
Let’s face it – staying at the hospital can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Maple Grove Hospital offers classes to learn mindfulness techniques so you will be better prepared for your hospital stay.

Mindfulness Class Details:
It’s a facilitated practice using guided visualization, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques. Absolutely no experience required. Attend as many sessions as you’d like!

What is mindfulness? 

  • Being aware and accepting the present moment
  • Having a flexible state-of-mind
  • Being actively engaged in the present

Those who practice mindfulness tend to experience less stress and are more joyful and satisfied with their lives. They also typically experience less pain and have raster recoveries when a medical procedure is performed.
