As the preeminent Level I Trauma Center in Minnesota, we understand how clearly and quickly injuries change a life: In fact, 1 in 10 people sustain an injury that requires ER treatment, and accidents are one of the leading causes of death and disability. Because of these statistics, we’re more committed than ever to preventing injury in our community with outreach, education, and hands-on experiences to make all lives safer.

The North Memorial Health Advantage

  • The North Memorial Health Injury Prevention Program works to prevent or reduce the severity of bodily injuries caused by falls, motor vehicle crashes, bike crashes, and more, thereby improving our community’s quality of life.
  • We support bike safety through helmet fitting education.
  • We teach you how to correctly install your car seat in your vehicle at our car seat clinics with certified car seat technicians.
  • We have adopted best practices in both primary care and hospital settings to prevent senior falls.
