Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Periop 101: A Core Curriculum™ fully prepares the RN entering the perioperative specialty with up-to-date, evidence-based education regarding safe patient care within the surgical setting.

This course is one day a week, running 9-weeks long, covering multiple important topics needed for competent surgical nursing care.

Completing this program prepares the novice perioperative RN to:

Requirements and Eligibility

  • Hold as associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in nursing science from an accredited institution
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Completion of 9 classes and required online modules
  • Pass final exam with 80% or greater

How to Apply

There is no separate application. Eligible candidates will be enrolled in the program based upon their start date at North Memorial Health.
