Childbirth and Parenting Preparation
This in-person class is offered as a five-night or two-day series. Topics covered include the challenges and joys of pregnancy, labor process, birthing options, newborn care, adjustments to your new role as parents and more. Additionally, a tour of North – Maple Grove Hospital Family Birth Center is conducted during class.

Understanding Birth & Your Newborn (Online)
This on-demand course covers a variety of birth and newborn topics to help you prepare for the birth of your baby. You will have access to our educators to answer questions as you go through the online classes. This interactive course includes videos, printable worksheets, quizzes, extended activities, tips for partners, resources and tools. Allow 6-8 hours to complete this course.
Breastfeeding Class
Topics covered in this class include how to determine if your baby is getting enough milk, correct positioning and latch of the baby, and how to pump and store breast milk. We will also share tips for mom’s care and suggestions on how to get support people involved.

Understanding Breastfeeding (Online)
This on-demand course will help you prepare for successful breastfeeding as you learn how to ensure your baby is getting enough milk, how to use your pump and how to store milk. You will have access to our educators to answer questions as you go through the online classes. North – Maple Grove Hospital Family Birth Center Tour
As you prepare for the addition to your family, you are invited to walk through North – Maple Grove Hospital Family Birth Center and hear about how intentionally designed spaces and medical/nursing expertise will join you in your birthing journey. If you are taking our Childbirth and Parenting Preparation class, this tour is conducted during class, so additional tour registration is not needed.

Mommy & Me
Our Mommy & Me support group meets every Wednesday from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Maple Grove Medical Center, attached to North – Maple Grove Hospital. Use Door C. The group meets in the lower level, which can be accessed via the elevators near the outpatient pharmacy. View map.
