The North Memorial Air Care team received accreditation status from the National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) for our air medical transportation services. To achieve this accreditation, the team demonstrated compliance to defined standards, identified best practice procedures and demonstrated a culture of safety and teamwork. NAAMTA’s analysis includes process reviews, employee interviews and on-site evaluations, all of which were conducted using ISO 9001:2008 auditing.
“Our focus on providing the best Safety Management System (SMS) and patient care in the industry continues with our certifications in DNV and ISO9001. Both certifications are globally recognized as a benchmark for healthcare accreditation – our two hospitals are also accredited using ISO standards, so this allows North Memorial Air Care to provide a seamless program that embraces a culture of high performance and continual improvement at it’s core,” said Pat Coyne, Vice President of Medical Transportation, North Memorial Health Care. “The NAAMTA accreditation follows an extensive, thorough review and showcases our experience professionals which include some of the area’s best pilots, mechanics, paramedics and nurses.”
The NAAMTA accreditation program is founded upon standards that focus on quality patient care and safety, while providing service-based consultative and educational processes, and established best practices. NAAMTA accreditation is recognized as a symbol of quality by industry peers, third-party payers, medical organizations, liability insurance companies, state and federal agencies and by the public.
