In a recent benchmarking survey and report by the Human Rights Campaign foundation, North Memorial Health received a score of 90 out of 100 on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which looks at corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality. This is an outstanding result for our first-year assessment. North Memorial Health’s score reflects a commitment to LGBTQ workplace equality. CEI rates organizations on four broad categories: non-discrimination policies, employment benefits, supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility including public commitment to LGBTQ equality and responsible citizenship.
North Memorial Health is the only healthcare system in Minnesota to receive this ranking which puts us alongside top local employers including Target, Best Buy and Ecolab. North Memorial Health is committed to continuing to work to become a truly inclusive workplace for our team members and our patients. This work supports our mission of empowering our patients to achieve their best health and moves us closer to our vision of delivering healthcare the way it ought to be.
