Thoracic Surgery
Our robotic technology is revolutionizing the way we handle lung surgery, among other conditions.
Surgery Overview
Our robotic technology creates a complete difference in the way the surgery is performed—the least invasive and most exacting technique to date. There’s less pain, faster recovery and a considerably shorter hospital stay.
- We’ve been performing robotic lung procedures with the da Vinci Xi since 2015. Robotic surgeries for lobectomies, wedge resections and lung biopsies has increased 77 percent since then.
- Our very own Dr. Solfelt has made this a leading program for North Memorial Health, and he ranks in the top 10 for these surgeries performed in the central United States.
- Robotic procedures for lung cancer drastically reduce pain, hospital stay and recovery.
