Imaging: We See You

Not all superheroes wear capes, but some of the ones wearing scrubs have X-ray vision. When your care team orders specialized tests or procedures to help develop a diagnosis and care plan with you, our imaging teams are there to give you the inside scoop. From inpatient to outpatient, CT to X-ray, we will help give you and your care team a totally new perspective.

Imaging Tests

Imaging tests are performed using state-of-the-art equipment and interpreted by experienced, highly trained radiologists.

Computer Tomography (CT) Scan
Provides detailed X-ray images taken from different angels around your body and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images (slices) of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body.

DEXA Scan (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry)
A DEXA scan is an imaging test that uses small amounts of radiation to measure how dense your bones are.

General radiology (X-ray)
The most commonly used imaging technique to produce images of the inside of your body, allowing us to visualize and diagnose medical conditions or injuries.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Creates a cross-sectional image of organs and body structures using a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy.

Mammography (Mammogram)
A mammogram is an X-ray picture of the breast. While 2D digital mammograms are the industry standard for imaging breast tissue, 3D mammograms provide multiple X-rays of the breast from different angles – resulting in a complete, digital representation.

Ultrasound (Ultrasonography)
A medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from identified areas of the body.
