Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery
Ear, nose and throat procedures with experienced professionals and high-tech vision. Our experienced surgeons handle a full spectrum of ear, nose, and throat surgeries, ranging from the simple to complex cases, and from children to adults.
Surgery Overview
- When possible, we use a special technological innovation called navigation, which allows us to pinpoint all the spots that need fixing. In such a small operating space, it makes surgery safer and easier for you to recover.
- We offer services from our Child Life Specialist to handle children’s surgeries, and parents are generally allowed into the operating room to stay with your child until they are asleep to help ease any anxiety—for both parents and children.
- Our ear, nose and throat surgeries also cover cochlear implants and thyroid procedures.

A cochlear implant is a specialized medical device that can restore a sense of hearing to those with hearing loss that cannot be remedied by traditional hearing aids. These devices are implanted within and behind the ear through surgical means to those who qualify and then are followed up by rehabilitation treatment.

Plastic or metal ear tubes are surgically placed within the eardrum if you (or more commonly, your child) is struggling with persistent fluid buildup, or frequent or chronic ear infections. These prosthetic tubes help open the Eustachian tubes and allow the fluid to drain or inflammation to go down. The new Hummingbird technology, which allows doctors to insert ear tubs using a mild sedation rather than general anesthesia, will be offered soon at the Minnetonka Ambulatory Surgery Center.
