North – Robbinsdale Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center featuring highly experienced neurosurgery staff and leading techniques and technology. We provide elective, emergency, and trauma surgeries.
Surgery Overview
- We offer neurosurgery care 24/7, 365 days a year. There is always a neurosurgeon available for trauma cases.
- We use navigation, an optical-tracking technology that gives us a live video feed from where we are performing your surgery, to do the most precise surgeries wherever possible.
- We can handle it all—elective neurosurgery and whatever emergent situation arrives by ambulance or lands on our helipad.

Our surgeons can implant a medical device, called a Baclofen pump, which delivers medication within your spine to control your severe spasticity.

Surgeons are able to implant a medical device called a spinal stimulator to help deal with complex and chronic pain issues. The devices can send electrical impulses to block pain messages from going to the brain.
