New OB/GYN Hospitalist Program
To ensure we provide the best quality, safety and experience for families, we expanded our OB/GYN hospitalist program across our system. Now, OB/GYN hospitalists see patients at Robbinsdale Hospital and at Maple Grove Hospital – the busiest birth center in the state. The team of OB/GYN hospitalists provide consultative and clinical expertise, 24/7, to support the care at the bedside for our families. They collaborate with the delivering provider as needed, partner with nursing teams to assess patients and consult with Maternal Fetal Medicine to coordinate care for complex obstetrical cases, transfers and referrals.
Primary obstetricians, family medicine physicians and advance practice professionals will continue to manage and oversee the care of their patients. OB/GYN hospitalists will serve as a consultative resource ready to help the OB/GYN clinicians and care teams, lending expertise in the cognitive and procedural management of their patients.
