North Memorial Health Hospital is equipped to handle the most critical cases, including trauma care. For more than two decades, we have served nearly 50,000 injured patients, with over 11,000 requiring ICU care, and we continue to see our trauma volumes increase annually.

We offer seamless, system-wide care, no matter the injury. With a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center verification, we are able to care for patients of all ages, enabling families to stay together if the worst happens. And as a trauma hospital, we’re able to handle everything from the simple, sameday procedures to the most complex conditions.   • Dedicated pediatric ICU rooms
  • Dedicated pediatric PACU
  • Child Life Specialists
  • Oversight from Dean Potter, Jr., MD, pediatric surgeon at Mayo Clinic, who is the medical director of our pediatric trauma program
  • Dedicated care for injured pediatric patients at all times, extensive quality improvement work and pediatric education to our referring hospitals and to our ground EMS and Air Care teams
