Who is infusion therapy for?

Infusion therapy is for people whose cancer care requires medications that can’t be taken by mouth or is best when delivered directly into the bloodstream.

These services are available for patients who are being seen at North Memorial Health for cancer treatment.

Common reasons include:

  • Chemotherapy for solid tumors or blood cancers, such as breast, lung, colon, lymphoma, or leukemia
  • Immunotherapy, which help your immune system fight cancer
  • Supportive care infusions, including hydration, iron therapy, or symptom-relief medications

Your oncologist will determine if infusion therapy is part of your treatment plan.
