North Memorial Health Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center featuring highly experienced neurosurgery staff and leading techniques and technology. We provide elective, emergency, and trauma surgeries.
Surgery Overview
- We offer neurosurgery care 24/7, 356 days a year. There is always a neurosurgeon available for trauma cases.
- We use navigation, an optical-tracking technology that gives us a live video feed from where we are performing your surgery, to do the most precise surgeries wherever possible.
- We can handle it all—elective neurosurgery and whatever emergent situation arrives by ambulance or lands on our helipad.

Baclofen Pumps
Our surgeons can implant a medical device, called a Baclofen pump, which delivers medication within your spine to control your severe spasticity.

Pain pumps are medical devices that we surgically implant to deliver medication to the area around your spinal cord to control chronic pain.

We perform several surgeries to help with pain, illness and injury, including discectomies, spinal fusions and more.

Spinal Stimulators
Surgeons are able to implant a medical device called a spinal stimulator to help deal with complex and chronic pain issues. The devices can send electrical impulses to block pain messages from going to the brain.

We offer Level I trauma care for head, neck and spinal injuries.

When you get injured by a blow to the head or in an accident, we can intervene surgically to help mitigate the effects of a TBI.
