Weight & Lifestyle Management

Approach To Care

Sarah provides compassionate, nonjudgmental care committed to meeting people where they are at, valuing progress over perfection. With over 17 years of experience in nutrition education and behavior change, she understands that most people already know what they “should” do to be healthier. The real challenge is navigating the things that stand in the way.

She strives to help patients break away from shame-driven diet culture, address emotional eating, and build a healthier, more sustainable relationship with food. She works with individuals to identify and address patterns that keep them stuck and develop practical tools that fit their lifestyle. Rather than focusing on perfection or rigid rules, Sarah emphasizes progress and building long-term habits.

Patients who are ready to move beyond cycles of restriction and guilt, and who value honest, supportive partnership are especially well-suited to her care. She believes lasting change happens through mindfulness, compassion, and realistic action – not criticism or shame.

I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental care focused on realistic, sustainable health strategies.

Personal

Sarah is naturally curious and always learning. She loves to read and enjoys a wide range of genres including historical fiction, science fiction and fantasy, modern day classics, and a ton of nonfiction. Her curiosity and deep interest in understanding the “why” behind behavior strongly shapes her approach to care. She believes lasting change happens when we better understand the emotional and psychological drivers behind our habits.

Sarah also loves trying new recipes and has a long background in nutrition education, where she enjoys showing people that healthy food can be genuinely delicious. She recognizes that food is about far more than hunger. It can represent comfort, celebration, culture, and connection. She proudly admits to having a sweet tooth and enjoys making homemade ice cream with her partner, because she believes balance and enjoyment of food are part of a healthy life.

When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, and arts and crafts. As a Missouri transplant, she’s embracing Minnesota life and is determined to learn to love winter by trying snowboarding or cross-country skiing. She believes joyful movement, creativity, connection with others, and continuously learning are the keys to a good life.
