Fueled by passion and advocacy, our Family Birth Center team identified an important need and secured a Foundation Small Grant to renovate a lactation care space at North Memorial Health – Maple Grove Hospital.
By incorporating thoughtful enhancements—fresh paint, inclusive artwork, an adaptive room layout, and a specially designed breastfeeding chair—we transformed the space into a welcoming haven for new parents. Since reopening, our team has cared for nearly double the number of nursing mothers, increasing from 682 to 1,363, all within a calming and accessible environment that supports families’ needs with comfort and ease.
