Approach To Care
Andy believes patients have intrinsic value and worth. Patients must be heard and respected, with their thoughts expressed, in order to be effectively understood and cared for medically.
A healthy relationship between Andy and his patients is central to effective healthcare. Within this relationship, a patient’s needs become understood and medical advice may be given. Andy facilitates healthy conversation in a way that develops this relationship.
Andy is knowledgeable. With passion and humility, he strives to remain up-to-date on the latest medical literature. Through continuing medical education, consultation and collaboration with colleagues and specialists, and a general desire for knowledge, he is able to apply medically recommended therapies to each patient’s unique situation.
Andy recognizes his role as an educator and advisor. The medical world is complex. Andy serves and cares for his patients by helping them navigate their health through educating and advising patients on appropriate steps to take in both preventing and treating medical conditions.

Personal
Andy Gilbert is a family man who loves spending time with his family. He is married and has three children. He is actively involved in his families’ life and development.
Those closest to Andy would describe him as outgoing and fun. He’s a man of faith and high character who takes great pleasure in building into people.
Andy has many hobbies. He and his wife currently own and operate a Christmas Tree Farm in Maple Grove. Andy is a former professional basketball player in Australia. He still enjoys playing basketball as well as coaching and teaching basketball to his children and the next generation. Other hobbies include wood working, billiards, and most anything outdoors such as golf or biking.
Andy is actively involved in the community. He and his wife are involved in many different community building activities. He has a passion for people and is energized by seeing people develop their own passions to their full potential.
Andy has been described as a “glue guy.” He enjoys connecting with people and helping them achieve healthier lifestyles. He accomplishes this by practicing patient-centered medicine. A favorite quote of his states, “It’s more important to be interested than interesting.”
