Approach To Care

Austyn aims to focus care on evidence-supported preventative and interventional medicine as it applies to the individual. Her previous experience as an emergency medicine physician assistant has shaped her ability to manage acute care individuals and has increased her depth of understanding for complex cases.

She grew up in the Elk River area and is looking forward to returning to this community to provide holistic, patient-centered care to her patients. Specifically, she wants to hear your story and partner with you to ensure you are able to live the life you want by maximizing your health.

I believe in applying evidence-based medicine to educate my patients and improve health outcomes.

Personal

Austyn is a local Minnesotan who is returning to her hometown of Elk River to continue her career and put down roots. Her life outside of the clinic revolves around her family which grew in the spring of 2025 with the addition of her first child.

With her husband, two dogs (a Great Pyrenees, Casper and a Goldendoodle, Maggie), and son, she enjoys spending time outdoors at parks and on walks, attending sporting events (specifically Gopher volleyball/football/hockey), and crocheting. She loves to read thriller novels when she finds the time and is always happy to watch a movie with friends.

Previously, she has loved to coach youth volleyball and softball and is hoping to reopen that passion. She spent the last 4 years working in acute care emergency departments and is incredibly excited to return to primary care to grow relationships with her patients and the community.
