Approach To Care
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of time, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” The meaning of this quote represents what being diagnosed with cancer feels like, as if all the light in your life has been taken away. Finding hope, positivity and direction during this difficult time is what an oncologist should bring.
Rosa provides a supportive environment where her patients feel safe and heard. She accompanies her patients throughout every stage of their care, ensuring that they know their treatment plan, and what that truly means for them. She believes that this one of the most important aspects of caring.
Knowing firsthand how difficult it is for families to work through a cancer diagnosis, the worry, the not knowing, she aspires to bring a trusting environment where she will be there for the patient and the family to help guide them through this difficult time.
Being fluent in medical and conversational English and Spanish, Rosa is able to bridge the communication gap that sometimes exists within multi-lingual families. As a first-generation immigrant, the Hispanic community can feel safe under her care.
“I care for my patients with compassion, integrity, respect and empathy.”
