The serious and chronic medical conditions in Dr. Johnson’s family inspired an early interest in medicine and allowed him to see first-hand how medicine can reshape a life, and the importance of good communication with both the patient and their loved ones. He believes in the importance of working to build a partnership with patients that he is privileged to care for, and work with them towards their own personal and individualized health goals.

Personal
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Minnesota and, despite the heartbreak that often comes with it, he is a steadfast Minnesota sports fan. He enjoys running, and both playing and coaching basketball and soccer. He likes being outdoors, particularly in northern Minnesota where he enjoys camping, hiking and being on the water. He takes great pleasure in reading, especially classical literature, and is very interested in history. Most of all, he loves to spend time with his wife and children.
