Hospital Medicine
I strive to provide compassionate person- and family-centered care.

Approach To Care

Dr. Cederstrom is passionate about serving people in their most vulnerable time of need with a bedside experience that is calm, welcoming and thoughtful. As a second generation Laotian American, she understands that optimal healthcare can only be truly provided while acknowledging one’s lived-experiences (past traumas, social standing, stigma, income, etc.). Through this understanding, she hopes to provide individualized and compassionate care to all.

Personal

Dr. Cederstrom was born and raised in the Midwest, the daughter of two Laotian refugees and proud small business owners. Her family taught her the importance of culture, work ethic and devotion to family. Through each personal interaction with the healthcare system, she became acutely aware of the immense disparities that people face from all walks of life. This desire for health equity fuels her passions today. She loves to be involved in community outreach, especially within the Lao community. Most recently she was a guest speaker for a series of virtual town halls/podcasts in partnership with the Lao American National Alliance that sought to dispel medical misinformation.

Her hobbies include pet rehabilitation/foster, furniture repurposing, reading and spending quality time with her husband and son.
