Approach To Care

Brad DeLong works within an integrated model of behavioral care that emphasizes the importance of looking at the patient’s life and environment as a whole in understanding mental health and substance use disorders. His therapeutic orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy but in working with patients, he draws from many different modalities and ethos to establish a plan to best meet their needs.

Brad DeLong specializes in the treatment of PTSD and trauma and stressor related disorders, OCD, substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression. He utilizes a cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness in the treatment of co-occurring disorders including depression and substance use disorders.

  • Integrated Behavioral Health Master’s Program – University of Minnesota
  • Trained in Exposure and Response (Ritual) Prevention (EXRP) for the treatment of OCD

Certification

  • Certified Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapist – Center for Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania

Personal

Brad DeLong was born and raised in Minnesota. Having lived in all areas of the metro, he appreciates the array of cultures and lifestyles in the state.

Brad DeLong is a father and a member of a very large family. He is a music aficionado of all types and has a large vinyl record collection. He attends as many area concerts as possible in his free time.
