Personal
Dr. Starcher grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky in a small community where she knew everyone and always went to grandma’s house for Sunday dinner. After graduating high school, she started traveling the world and studied interfaith and international relations with a focus on interactions between the three Abrahamic faiths throughout history.
She returned to school to study medicine where she now uses the skills she learned in her prior education to bridge gaps in care between employees and patients across the spectrum of healthcare. She focuses on identifying and addressing health disparities and does work in trying to make the electronic health record more useful for both clinicians and patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys eating out across the Twin Cities with her husband or taking her two dogs to local breweries. She plays lots of board games, is an amateur woodworker, and enjoys traveling to visit her friends and family who are now spread out across the globe.
