Laura Wrightwood began her nursing career working on a mobile medicine team that primarily served unhoused patients. This sparked an interest in caring for those who find it harder to access traditional health care systems. Many patients who experience traumatic accidents fall into that category, as it is never something that you can prepare for. While these patients are in the hospital, it’s her goal to give them the best care possible and to help ensure they aren’t lost to follow-up.

Laura recently relocated back to her home state of Minnesota from Washington DC. She moved with her wife and sweet pit bull, Small Fry.
When she is not at work, she enjoys playing piano, reading, going up the lake, and spending time with family.
